New Construction: Meet Kara
Despite working as an STNA, Kara and her two daughters couldn’t find affordable housing in Findlay and were at one time homeless. With continued hard work and coaching from Habitat’s Financial Opportunity Center, Kara and her girls – with help from supporters like you – raised the walls of their new home and moved into our Habitat neighborhood this year. They are now experiencing the pride of homeownership and the security of making affordable mortgage payments.

Home Repair: Meet Juanita
A local grandma and dog mom, Juanita, found that her home required a new roof. Her current home was leaking but, having recently retired, Juanita couldn’t afford the costly repair bill on her own. While Habitat provided a hand up by repairing the roof, she provided “sweat equity” by volunteering to defray some of the cost. Now, thanks to Habitat’s repair team and donors like you, Juanita is all smiles.

Items for ReStore
We accept new or gently used materials from retail outlets, contractors and homeowners. Some items may be used to build or repair homes, while most items will be sold by ReStore (both online and in the store) to support Habitat programs. Small items can be dropped off at Restore between 10am and 5 pm Tues.-Sat. Schedule pick up for larger items by our ReStore truck.
